What Did You Really Think Of Camp Nou?

Bit underwhelmed TBH.

Externally it's nothing special.

Getting in to the stadium was a nightmare.(that's worth a thread on it's own)

The catering facilities were very poor by our standards.

The view from the away fans section, high up, and behind the netting and poles, was poor.

The atmosphere was pretty much non-existent. Poor home support, away fans spread out across the top tier, no roof, etc.

TBF, internally the Camp Nou did look impressive. Colosseum like. With huge tiers sweeping around the stadium.

Internally the Nou Camp looks impressive, but other than that it's over hyped as a stadium in my opinion.(regardless of it's history)
Feel free. :-)
That problem was easily solved :)

Went there 10 years ago to watch them play deportivo,we got treated by a spaniard I know and had corporate seats sat directly behind the dug out,so thought it was great then.this time sat in our section on the 5th tier, thought it was a shite view, behind netting and far too high, the facilities behind the stand are ridiculous, prehistoric.
What the fook are the stewards there doing carrying batons, which got waved in my face when queuing to get in because everyone started pushing to get in,never seen anything like it.
The bernabeu is much better, but neither are a patch on the allianze arena, the best I've been to by some distance.

When you walk all the way round it a couple of times looking for the coach park after the game, then its big.

Those that didn't go and want to know what its like, then try this.... rerun the game using your dvd player but stretch a pair of the girlfriends fishnets over the screen. Then leave your front room, walk half a mile down the road and watch the tv. That's the same view I had last night.
