What Did You Really Think Of Camp Nou?

its a shithole , no wonder they want to knock it down , etihad is better in every way , dont know why they need such a big stadium , they only fill it when madrid come to town

Very disappointed with the stadium itself.

The organisation and crowd management was disgraceful, you were basically herded in like cattle and they filled the stadium section from left to right which basically gave them zero crowd control I.e. Ticket management.

You are put behind a wire mesh which was really distracting. Expected much better, it's not as if they'd never had to manage Foreign fans before. Very similar to Madrid except the stadium was better at Madrid.

Have yet to visit a decent (view without mesh and high up) stadium yet, Ajax was probably the best with Poznan and Dortmund next, never did the Allianz. No more CL for me.

Not where me and my mates were, we couldn't see at least 1/3 of the pitch without bobbing and weaving with every pass, couldn't see one of the goals at all, (not that it mattered much as we never troubled them much).

For the price paid, it was the worst view I have ever had at any football game. I appreciate those higher up in the away end might have had a better view, but the perspex, the posts holding it, combined with the thick metal top, made it a joke to watch any football (not that we played any).

Decrepit shithole that looked like it last had a lick of paint prior to the 1982 World Cup.

A lot of fucking stairs.
This as well, but not sure it's more than Wembley or Newcastle.

I am still fucking in here................lost..........trying to get out.....too many fucking stairs!!

TBH its out of date and way below the standards we have now so judge it as it is

As for the catering......I spent 5 mins trying to buy a diet coke.....discovered it was actually coke light after a translation......then the ferkers did not have any and I had to have fanta!! ruined the whole trip for me TBH.

Thought it was immense.

Got in and out with no fuss.

The scran was fine. Didn't use the bogs.

My view was fucking flawless. Pitch and crowd looked colossal.

I was in the home section though so maybe different to the away bit?

When you walk all the way round it a couple of times looking for the coach park after the game, then its big.

Those that didn't go and want to know what its like, then try this.... rerun the game using your dvd player but stretch a pair of the girlfriends fishnets over the screen. Then leave your front room, walk half a mile down the road and watch the tv. That's the same view I had last night.

This - perfect description!

I was totally underwhelmed by every aspect of the stadium - we were made to feel like onlookers from afar. Not a venue for the short sided fan.......

Had to watch a rerun tonight to fully appreciate the game -

I also hated the way they allowed everyone to leave the stands and then allow every one to stand in a big crush waiting for the gates to be unlocked.

Thought we'd never find the coach park too
In a nutshell reminded me a bit of the Old Wembley - a concrete monstrosity that we had the good sense to demolish

This post made me smile. My eyesight is not the best, and I struggled to make out the players at times. Got back home around 14.30 on Thursday. Knackered so a few hrs kip until the missus got home. Some tea then watched the full game on "catch up". how bloody good did we play. It was a great experience, but so much easier to watch on widescreen TV! :-)

Looked ok from the outside but looked very tired on the inside, the stairways were a disgrace and the less said about the toilets the better!
Flush on the sink broken?

Never made the sink. Had to have a piss against a wall on the 4th level concourse to avoid missing the start to the second half, as the queue for the toilets was ridiculous.

People pissing in the toilets, where did the smokers go ffs ,-)

Obviously its iconic etc etc and it is immense but its ancient. Reminded me of the old Hampden for facilities and the Etihad is so more fan friendly. As said before the Allianz is probs 100 times better.

I wasn't at the game but I've been before, It's just a big pile of concrete with a bit of scaffolding in the middle really. They are doing it up soon I've heard, 120k+!

I loved the entire trip apart from the stadium. Awful concrete shithole, reminded my a John Nash Crescent. Toilets were small and caused dangerous crushes.

As an aside why could they sell alcohol ? I thought it was banned on chumps league nights or is that just in the UK ?

Yup we used to call the crescents the bull ring when I was a kid, know what you mean about the similarity

totally agree with all this, the crush getting out at the end was frightening I don't know why they only let us use one flight of stairs and blocked off all the rest. Trying to find the coach park after was a nightmare.I got back home at 4 30am thankfully our flight wasn't diverted to Newcastle.I don't feel at the moment that I will ever go back there again, the rest of the day was good, great atmosphere with all the blues in the bars but the stadium experience was a letdown.

Brilliant and so true,

we sat/stood on the front row 10 in 5 seats, cos we ripped the tape off and fucked the steward's off!!!

Good ?? We were dreadful, wrong team, wrong tactics, too defensive, defence were crap anyway, no midfield, piss poor finishing.....

Luckily I watched the game you watched, and whilst I left the ground disappointed, I was proud of our club, especially that we didn't think it necessary to cheat under every tackle, though sadly to win this competition, as a club, we're going to have to learn to be far more dishonest than we actually are, it wouldn't harm us to do it in the league either, though I would much prefer us to win it all, with our honesty intact.

Jeez. the robbing bastards. Fortunately I only bought the hot dogs as I'd had enough ale but I saw all these Blues queuing up for cans and thought it was strange.

Hell the prostitutes rip you off and everyone rightly complains but Barca FC do it and it is accepted. Robbing bastards.

I do that in the lounge at home when watching on telly and I can't be arsed to go to the toilet. The wallpaper's in a terrible state.
