He'll never get it because he's one of those players that unless you watch him and him alone he looks on tv like he dose very little. Obviously that's not the case it's a team game and he does the simple things very very well but if the Media/public don't see Silva/Nasri etc moments from him they're never going to big him up.

For fuck sake. Do we really need a new "Barry is underrated" thread EVERY week? We get it you think he is good and underrated by many no need to keep going on about it.

I suppose this post has nothing to do with the fact you're one of those that constantly slag him off (even now!)?

I notice from your previous posts about Barry that you really don't like/rate him. If you don't thats fine, we're all entitled to our opinions, but why not just keep out of the threads where people want to praise the lad?

Alot of people still base their opinion on him from the shambles that was WC 2010. He went their injured and never got going.

Then of course he was murdered on the half way line by Ozil who ran on and assisted Muller for the 2nd goal?

Either way i couldn't care less if Barry gets recognition as long as we give it him, its like i say about Richards. Couldn't care less if no one in England rates them because we do and they are recognizing that and putting in great performances every week.

He's certainly not underrated as far as the National team goes...........being Capello's most capped player!

Gave a perfect summation of himself post Stoke:

"Well, I just keep possession, cut off their chances then give it to the skilful players to create something"

A much harder job than people realise.

This sums up Barry's role, He keeps it simple and makes the other players look good.

Not only that but this season he's added some great passing too, spreading the ball diagonally quickly and accurately as well as through balls down the middle. Been excellent this season when he could have easily been the guy to miss out. Deserves a lot of credit.

Capped by 6 England managers.
Most capped under Cappello.
Starts pretty much every 'big' game for us home & away.
Gets a thread or two after every good performance.

I would say he's pretty rated now! Last season maybe, this season, he's definitely not underrated!
