Colin Crompton .Paul Darrow who played the main guy Avon in Blake 7 was a lifelong blue. Also, that guy who used to shout out the acts in the wheeltappers club was apparently a blue(so my mate says) I can't remember either because I was too young but there's 2 blues for you.

First pre match pub I went in when it was the Birch Villa. One of many now gone. That's a sad picture. Spent many a pre match in that place :(
Sad pal. I can't really remember it being the Birch Villa, but I do remember it did decent grub. Used to then walk down to the Albert. Great days.First pre match pub I went in when it was the Birch Villa. One of many now gone.
Yes. Would call in the Albert and the Osborne as part of the pre match journey. Landlord in the Albert would cover the pool table and put out trays of food on occasion to soak the beer up and could book the Osborne landlords caravan at presthaven sands for a week for about £150 to keep the missus happy.Sad pal. Nice article but should have been fact checked. Anderson is not playing in the third test
Yes, I was looking at a few photos of me and a few lads in the Albert on the last game v Southampton with the pool table in the background a few days back. No fucker would touch the food because we were all beaked up. Seems like yesterday. Only ever went in the Ozbourne a few times so not a lot of memories of that place. Miss Maine Road though, always will.Yes. Would call in the Albert and the Osborne as part of the pre match journey.
