Thanks for that mate - hope it wasn't a sick wind up! I remember reading it at some ridiculous hour and not being able to get to sleep........

Always crops up in my mind when on here but thought if the worst had happened then best not to post.

Thanks anyway lads

I found it all a little bit odd. Usually an accident like that there would be some press coverage on it but there was nothing and it all seems to get hushed up if anyone mentions it. I have a feeling it could have been an incredibly poor taste wind up

If that was the case I'd imagine the fixer is back on here with another username?

didnt de niro set off to meet him to get told not to go as his sister was there? i think if de niro has spoken to his sister then i dont see why someone would ever make something like that up, pretty tasteless to think of that about someone aswell in my opinion.

a guy's wife and daughter died in a car crash and his lad was in a critical condition in hospital. that doesn't sound like a wind up to be fair. I think if that happened to me, i'd only come on here if before hand a mod asks everybody not to talk about it. i'd be typing on topics at the same time thinking ''when i was last on here, they were alive.'' sorry but i dont think coming back onto a football forum after such circumstances would be high on my agenda.

hope everything is ok with fixer and his court case about that fight went alright. he may off even been sent down for all we know.

There was nothing mentioned on the news, in the papers or online about a crash - a crash which would have made local headlines at least. Other posters noticed this too.

His fight story was inconsistant - on one particular day he said he had been called to the police station that afternoon and recieved a lot of advice and good luck wishes- when quizzed as to how he went on the next day he denied that he had been at all saying that he wasn't due to go for a couple of weeks - odd to say the least.

I didn't see it but someone posted that another of his threads - one about a bottling somewhere I think - was a load of cobblers too.

Make your own minds up.

I don't know fixer so I wouldn't want to judge and especially not on such a terrible matter but something doesn't add up.

Something would have been in the news wouldn't it? And the incident where he was involved with the police.

Could he be inside?

I received a few pm's off him disscusing the bottling incident, he seemed like a genuine guy. He also spoke to Zin a few times.

The crash thread was horrific, I remember reading it and feeling genuinely upset by it. But nothing at all reported anywhere in any media form? A crash like that would have gotten reported somewhere, just didnt seem to add up to me, but I never put anything sooner as the holier than you types would have shouted anyone daring to question such a thing down. But seems as someone else posted it I just thought id give my opinion. I hope im right, I hope he made it all up and is just an attention seeking idiot, surely that is better than the alternative?

Likewise, having in the past been on trial and acquitted in crown court for an incident where 'reasonable self defence' was the main issue, I had a fair bit of PM chat with Fixer as regards the legal definitions etc. He seemed perfectly genuine and I have no reason to doubt the man.
The media, especially at a local level, does miss 'big stories' more often than you might think
