I set off to meet him to hopefully comfort him in his grief as his own family were away, I'd had a couple of beers so our Jess drove me, he got in touch when I was about half way saying he was off to the hospital to see his surviving son and to turn back, not heard a peep from him since, the contact has been via a pm from another bluemooner say fixer was to stay with extended family and would not return for some time, he was to rent his house out.
Heard nothing at all since.
On the face of it I look a fool but I don't care, the lad seemed devastated so I tried to help, I'd rather look a mug that any child or woman be killed or harmed.
I'd do it again in 5 seconds flat.

Trust me Bill, no-one on here thinks you're a fool for your actions that night. If he did play you, the fact that you went to his aid says an awful lot for your moral fibre, and the fact that someone would do that for someone else reinstates my faith in people.

Mate, if he did 'play' he 'played' us all. I have witnessed the passing of my six year old niece to cancer, Which although expected, was still so fucking hard, it was unbelievable, the look on my brother's face, will haunt me forever, when i read the thread, the memories came flooding back, and i had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat!

Have to admit, the whole saga of other fans coming up with conspiracy theories about that film "Wag the dog" where Robert De Niro plays a character called "The Fixer" was comical.

Personally I think it was a wind up that wet a little too far. Hope i'm wrong.

Curiouser and curiouser... horrible to think someone would be so sick to make it up..

-- Wed May 04, 2011 11:46 pm --

Curiouser and curiouser... horrible to think someone would be so sick to make it up..

The guy is a figment of his imagination and will be back for more under another guise. That's unless he's not already amongst us.
