The Liverpool match was a classic trap game coming at the end of a closely spaced run of fixtures where we are obviously tired, emotionally drained, missing key players, and have nothing left in the tank. A draw at Anfield would have been a great result, but in hindsight we are not much worse off than before the match in the table and still have a game in hand versus our rivals. The issue is that we have lost three in row in the league and must turn this around immediately. I think if we can get some legs back we will do just that. We'll probably end up in the low 70s points wise, good enough for top 4, hopefully top 3. We really miss KDB and Silva must be carrying an injury as there no other way to explain the transformation from Merlin to Sorcerer's Apprentice. Have faith. We will not slide out of top 4!
You seriously think we will get 25 points from our remaining 11 games , having to play Chelsea, Manure, Arsenal and Southampton and Stoke and I will give you 50-1 we win all the other 6 games I haven't mentioned.
When you mention missing key players I assume you mean Yaya because we have been without KDB for a while and Nasri for the most of the season and quite frankly I don't think their inclusion in any of the games they would have been available would have altered the result but its not relevant anyway.
We played Liverpool who made 5 changes to a team that played on the previous Thursday admittedly at home but if you can't handle Euro travel and lets face it we got the weakest side without top match football for three months FFS.
Their best midfielder , best player over the past four games and best striker were out FFS.
There back four consisted of a City reject many years ago and a makeshift back four including one player who hadn't started in the premiership for two years.
We couldn't get near the goal and created one reasonable chance for the whole game.
We were rubbish from the outset and as is becoming all too often under this manager we were slow , listless and lifeless not because we were tired but because we were rubbish in our set up , defensively a complete shambles once again and slow as a wet weak when we had the ball.
We never seem to track back , we don't run fast enough and often enough and are not confident on the break.
Spurs were well chuffed by a West Ham side whose manager if in charge of us this year its fair to say we would be home and dry with the league by now but look how they run in numbers and defend in numbers.
We are a joke and nothing but a joke this season and considering we won our first 5 games its even more of a joke we have self destructed and for no good reason albeit with a medico team that has little idea how to prevent the soft tissue infliction that has hit our club for two years now well beyond what it should be at a club with our resources.
These nothing left in the tank rubbish especially against a side who had played the same number of games as us in less time is the lamest excuse we could come up with ala MP.
Maybe they partied to hard or they just were not switched or it was just another example of a side that presses us and we are stuffed under this very average manager.
