What has been your lowest point following City?

Sitting in my local Working Mens Club in May 1998, having just watched City batter Stoke 5-2 in a totally futile effort to stay up as all the other sides capitulated too and we failed to climb above QPR. United fans chanting and singing whilst I slowly came to realise that I was experiencing the lowest point in City's entire history to date. Relegation to England's third tier of football, where the likes of Macclesfield Town awaited us as equals. That was a painful day.

Bit of a strange one but Christian Negouai punching the ball into the net against Rotherham, cheating to scrape a result just felt awful, I think there was another game that season with a blatant dive which we received a penalty for. I remember talking to my dad after about how awful we must be to have to win (or was it draw?) in the most horrible ways.

ricky villa
luton town 83
york away
lincoln city 4-1
notts county 1-0 lund last minute

but for me, the absolute boredom that stuart pearce inflicted.

Numerous occasions 1998/1999 when walking out of Maine Road after having drawn or lost to piss pot teams, thinking why oh fucking why do I still turn up.

But then looking back that season gave me many brilliant memories
-Going to a load of tiny grounds
-seeing Maine Road full with 34,000 (where were we when we was shit?)
-Wembley

To be honest I don't get too down about things like getting relegated cos each time I've known that I'd enjoy the next season more when more games are won and the chance to get promoted or gettin promoted actually gets a much needed buzz back into a club!

My lowest point was the last 6 months under Pearce, stadium 3/4's full, no atmosphere, no goals, few wins away from home, no prospects, no future! I wanted to get relegated that season as, like I said above, I thought it would bring some wins and a buzz back to City!

Really makes you think of some bad times we have experienced, yet we are all still here and it kinda makes us stronger and feel the soul of the club.

For me the first ever game I cried was the defeat against Luton 1983,

It was all downhill from there, we never recovered till now IMO.
