What has the UK become?

£500m spent already on Rwanda legislation, with more expenses needed to get people on the plane that they haven’t chartered yet.

300 asylum seekers.

£1.667m per asylum seeker currently, with more to be spent.

£2m a person seems like a valid estimate. Only needs another £100m throwing at the scheme.
Yeah… but we can afford it now since the economy has turned a corner and is booming, and crime has been eliminated from our streets and they’ve slashed the NHS waiting lists, and there are no more potholes in the roads, and social care has been finally sorted, and no children are going to school hungry, and everyone has a safe place to sleep at night, and the cost of living is plummeting and the feel-good factor is rampant in the nation, and we’re going to spend huge amounts on defence to protect a system where we have millions of children in poverty and destitution and record numbers of billionaires while a family of quasi Gilbert and Sullivan characters award themselves and each other medals and awards for an accident of birth.
It‘s all sorted thanks to the tories.

At least we have clean water.

Wherever you are checking it's not right, anything to support a narrative.
Lol, you nutter.

Here’s a fact without narrative. The Rwanda scheme has cost the UK tax payer approximately £240 million without a single person being deported.

Anything to add?

The world needs less people not more, as for countries need more immigration you mean big business needs more immigration making a sweeping statement like that when you know most normal people want controlled immigration is absurd.

Honestly it's laughable how the supposed kinder side of politics treat humans as just a resource to do the menial jobs they wont do, but it doesn't surprise me.

Yes. Business needs labour. Social care needs labour. Health care needs labour. Labour means people. From doctors to care workers to fruit pickers.

None of this work is done by magic or house elves. It is done by people. Immigrants are people. And for the UK to function it needs more people. That is the reality.

None of this is remotely true, we have enough people here to do the work. Can't you make your own coffee or wipe your own arse?

Countries don't need more people, and after you have more people do we get even more people to do the jobs that people here wont do? It's a stupid idea and will only result in a huge population kicking the problem into the long grass for another generation.

Honestly I think you lot consider the 3rd world to be just a baby factory pumping out workers to do the jobs you don't want to do, it's not far off trafficking.

Some people cannot make their own coffee or wipe their own arse. One day you may not be able to either.

To be better informed on this issue I would start with the following link which looks at it from a European perspective not just a UK one.

’One reason for this increased demand is an ageing population within the EU. All EU member states have birth rates below the replacement level of 2.1 live births per woman. In Malta, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Cyprus it is below 1.4.

An ageing population means fewer workers enter the workforce than retire. This makes it more difficult for employers to fill job vacancies. An ageing population also increases the need for workers in health and social care. Without immigration, taxes would need to rise for a shrinking number of workers to be able to fund the pensions of a growing population of retirees.’

One in 5 young people are out of work, we need to sort that out before we do anything else, bringing people in to do the jobs we are too lazy to do is ridiculous.

More and more older people are still working, being productive and contributing. My point still stands when is enough enough? If the trend of shifting more and more people into the country goes on what's the result of that?

Less people is a good thing, weird how non capitalists seem to want to flood the country with workers for their enemy big business, it's almost as if that's not the only reason.
