Franny Lee at West Ham in 1967/68. Skip crossed the ball and Franny hit it on the volley from around 30-35 yards. The keeper - Ferguson, I think - never moved as the ball went past him.

I've always felt the reaction of the Gillingham fans to that goal spoke as much about our football in general that season, as it did that particular goal.

Surprised nobody has picked Dave Watson's header v Ipswich North Stand end or Paul Powers goal v Ipswich in semi.
Kinkys goal v Southampton is in top 10 without a doubt.
Tuearts goal v barcodes at Wembley was amazing too.
Yayas goal v Sunderland at Wembley and Nasris too.
Not the best goal but the most important Kuns v QPR.
