What is the longest drive you've done ?

3300 miles.

Las Vegas to New York via New Orleans.

Did it on my own. Took 3 weeks with 1 or 2 night stopovers in most places and was the best thing I've ever done.

myself and Mrs Jules are thinking about doing this trip, although not the route shown, we have been talking about this for a while, we would stay on the chilean side of the andes and with luck end up at the most southernly point before antartica. Anyone done this??? would probably stop in santiago to see colo colo again

Non-stop, except for a ferry, Paderborn to Manchester back in the day, somewhere near 700 miles. Via Zeebrugge - Dover

Oporto to Prague many years ago. No idea on the distance but it seemed like forever.

Nothing that long, but remember driving through the night from Kent to Aberdeen to meet a midwife I met on a beach in Malta..7 and a half hours..tanked it.. welcome was worth it. Strangest thing was she moved to Kent after we split and was on the ward when my wife gave birth. Explaining why this pretty midwife kept chatting to me at that time was not easy. Although an Aberdeen fan, she also became a Blue.

Edit..Huntsville Alabama to Key West in a Golf Rabbit(convertible) with my best buddy (not that kind of buddy) was a a blast.

planning to do San Francisco, to San Diego to Phoenix at the end of Feb over 5 days. Down the Pacific coastline, about 950 miles

At some point I'll do Seattle to San Francisco which is another 850 miles

Bill my only advice is DO visit Coober Pedy and the Barossa Valley.

I lived in Adelaide for 5 months and that was a highlight. Long enough journey from the wine town of Nuriootpa to thee Adelaide coast !

At the end of 5 months we took a 2 week Greyhound coach back to Sydney via Alice Springs, Mt Isa, Townsville and Canberra. Air conditioning broke somewhere north of Alice, Hell on earth.

I did San Francisco to Washington DC via Las Vegas, Santa Fe (New Mexico), and Huntsville (Alabama) 35 years ago over the course of 10 days.

But the "longest" was the stretch between Santa Fe and Huntsville, where we did not stop save for gas and food. 1,213 miles. Had a pretty good sleep when we arrived!
