I agree. In the first half today we played into their hands. We looked as if we expected to win without putting in the required effort.mancity1 said:No stomach for a dog fight.

A very ordinary side who had conceded in every game so far this year were prepared to do that and that's why they came out on top.
The premiership is about scrapping for win especially away from home.
Us under this manager are not willing to do that.
The lack of fight, desire to win the one on one contests, and overall passion is killing us away from home.
When the going gets tough we simply don't get going. That comes down to the Manager instilling these qualities in every member of the squad.
There is simply no mongrel in the team. Too many of our highly paid players don't want it enough. In away games you are found out with this attitude.

We need a lot of change for us to start winning away from home. Several players either don't fit our system or style of play. Lescott is too uncomfortable on the ball to play for a team that tries to play good, fast football, he slows us down and opposition players can then get behind the ball. Same with Garcia, he hasn't got that quick instinct to move through midfield with danger. Milner seems to have lost that form he had last year too many sloppy passes. Kolarov's decision making is awful, and he just isn't mobile enough. Our shooting from outside the box isn't good enough. Sometimes you need to do something special to win away from home to get that first goal and bring opposition out of their own halfs. A better mentality is needed as well, when Garcia got snapped there was no big appeal, or indication from city or Garcia that the challenge was awful, a stronger reaction would have envoked the ref to think more about the incident, if you act like nothing has happened it will be treated like that. We need to be nastier, not in our challenges but general things like when we score wind the fans up, waste time, wind teams up and make them commit rash challenges. Oh and another note these injurys are really fucking up our season, along with individual errors and shite refs.

Once again he changed the back 4, this time playing Richards, Lescott and Kolarov.(and Demichelis)
Until he sticks with the same back for a period of time and ignores the urge to change the defence, regardless of the squad and players complaining, we will continue to let in goals and lose matches.
