What kind of reception will Carlos get next Monday night?

I hope Kia gives him a good reception in Carlos' living room where I
hope both of them will be watching it!

I don't want him near our pitch ever again! He can leave this club this afternoon for me!

If he does play for us again I won't cheer his name when the teams are read out at the biginning; I will celebrate a goal from him, but won't cheer when his name is announced over the tannoy; I won't applaud him off the pitch or sing his name again!

I won't boo him though! I've never boo'd anyone playing in a City shirt and won't start now!

Agree 100% with all of this
bang on,ANYONE no matter how good they are who dont want to play for our club can walk, send him back to his beloved argentina.

I wont boo him, I wont clap him either, he means nothing to me, he's just another geezer. (to the tune of a Plan B song off his 1st album)

If he scores goals and helps us into top 4 or better then fine, however will I ever love him like I wanted too? No chance. He should without doubt be dropped as captain aswell

We are currently in the middle of a very big month in what could decide what our ambitions are in the 2nd half of the season. The next game is the hardest game this month. We need to get behind the whole team Tevez included. If he leaves it will not be until Jan 4th at the earliest which means until then he has 4 games in which we could do with 12 points. Tevez would still get in the best team we can put out and I have no doubt that he will put the same effort in whenever he takes the field.

I will not be reacting out of the ordinary. I will just be making it very, very clear I back Mancini.

The most important thing is 3 points - whoever plays, so no dissent, no moaning, no getting on the backs of certain players - just total support - let's prove we are the best! Onwards and upwards to the promised land!

Indeed! Forza Mancini!

what we have to remember also that with tev out of th country at the moment there is a huge chance for certain sections of the media to stir even more shit up and try and cause a division between tev and the fans to widen even more...remember that same section of the media will stop at nothing to destabilise the club and this is an ideal opportunity for them.

I fully expect between now and when tev arrives back for there to be numerous "reports and supposed quotes" from the player putting an even more negative slant on this....we need to be mindful of these and wait for official statements released by the club.....the media have got 8 days between now and the everton game to produce bile and anit city stories and attribute them to the club...we as fans should ignore it.

yes he should play vs everton, yes he should be capt (look at arsenal and fabregas) and YES we should support the player and manager at the same time.....then get the lad sat down and work it out with him...if its about money then fine...sort it...if not and its about the relationship witht he manager then that needs to be sorted to!

-- Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:21 pm --

what we have to remember also that with tev out of th country at the moment there is a huge chance for certain sections of the media to stir even more shit up and try and cause a division between tev and the fans to widen even more...remember that same section of the media will stop at nothing to destabilise the club and this is an ideal opportunity for them.

In my opinion his actions regarding his contract, irrelevent of the involvement of Kia, has moved him back to square 1, i.e. he no longer has hero status but I do not view him in a negative way, from his hard work and effort for the club I feel we owe him that much at least. And so I will give him the welcome that any city player deserves when stepping onto the pitch.

On another note I do not feel he should be playing as captain, since as others have pointed out, the captain should lead by example and be fully in line with the clubs ambitions. I also believe that he shouldn't have got it in the first place.

Like everyone else, I am very disappointed by what has happened. I do think we should show him respect and give him a decent reception though. Not sycophantic and begging him to stay but respectful and supportive of him whilst he is in a blue shirt. This situation might yet be resolved and he is vital to the team so we shouldn't go down the road of alienating him imo and you never know, if we show him respect then maybe he will knuckle down and get on with things. Whether this all gets sorted or not, I'd be much happier with City fans behaving with absolute dignity in all this and not behave like the morons did over rooney.
