What made you snap?

Anelka, once he'd fallen out with Fowler and consequently saw his arse with the majority of the squad. Granted, he absolutely carried us in 2003/04, but in truth it was my first major disappointment regarding an individual, as he was my hero up until then (I was 13 and impressionable) . Always used to argue with my dad over who was better, Anelka or Fowler (the old man always used to revert to the "look at his Liverpool record" argument).

Michael Ball when he couldn't tell the difference from a ball to a balloon....

or

Darius Vassell for THAT goal he scored against Sunderland..

Hahah, bit of Toppin' down there at the front...went to school with that lad, he was in my year. That goal was funny purely for the way he ran off like he meant it, and like he thought it was a class goal. They all count though!

samaras after his 1st touch

I thought his first touch was that owerful headed goal (I think it was against Charlton). Some us instantly thought 'world beater'. I guess some us got that wrong...

David Cross, early 80s. Every week struggled to score and live up to his reputation before joining City. One week he had a golden chance to head in from about 2 years from goal. He headed it down and it bounced up and over the bar. Not exactly an open net but easier to score than miss. The whole ground seemed to sigh and it confirmed to everyone he was never going to do it for us.

Also Lauren Charvet when he couldn't be arsed to rack back.

Martyn Margetson, late 90s when he conceded the free kick for picking up a back pass and rather than keeping the ball handed it straight to the opposition to place it and score before we'd got a wall sorted.

Nigel Clough, last game of the season against Liverpool, when we got relegated. Showed he couldn't care less that day.

The list seems endless, shall I carry on ......
