A City scarf I got as a Christmas present by a family friend in 1976. He died shortly after as he had cancer in his eye. He was a red and I can always remember him saying as he gave me the present "...it broke my heart buying you that.."

I have a 5 year diary that I got as a Xmas pressie when I was 11

I wrote in it from time to time, glad I kept it, shows I was a budding genius ;)

Once or twice over the years I have wondered why and what happened. I think its cos the woman has a teddy from childhood she still keeps in bed (she's 30+) that I recently thought again. Why have I got fuck all from when I was young? I had loads of programmes, a few consecutive seasons worth of City shirts. More books than you could read and as for toys?

But not anymore, I've got fuck all from when I was a kid and I don't know how or when it all went missing or what.

I honestly don't think I own anything more than a decade old, which is poor on my part as my mam bought me a watch once and had it engraved. I have no idea where that is. I found an old birthday card from my mam earlier today Christ, do I miss her.

Tell a lie, got a coat I bought in 2000. Does that count?

Ive lost buckets loads of stuff cos Ive moved more times than drones posted shite posts

I still think some of my stuff is in a loft in Glossop where I lived with my first wife in the 70's

but Im fucked if Im going back there :)

I've got a Kodak Instamatic camera that I got for my birthday as child in the 60s. I used it until about 2004 when I got a digital camera.

Later ones include my slide rule and log tables from my 70s schooldays and my scientific calculator from my university days.

The calculator was a major purchase. It cost £29.99 at a time when a pint of beer could be had for 23p.
