Long hot summer and Paris Match- The Style Council
1983. ..the summer I started drinking...not very much...but I liked it.

The 3rd single release from SC and the one which really underlined the change in style from the Jam..if anyone hadn't realised it already.
Speak like a Child was ok.Money go round was abrasively brilliant,esp the extended version...but LHS/ PM blew me away....pop music at it's finest.

Some great Style Council tracks, Long hot summer was/is brilliant and I love “have you ever had it blue?” For obvious reasons.

I had Ever Changing Moods on my car cassette ferrying a couple of mates plus the older landlord of our local to a Sunday morning match. Landlord says “who’s this?” “Ffs John it’s The Style Council”. Miserable old fucker says “sounds like Ashton Council” that was his card marked.
