What time is it?

No probs, mate.

There was clarification at the time. Dzeko was the name mentioned to Tevez, the show of power was shared interest in him and Luiz from Chelsea...

This time I know it's for real, the Dzeko negotiations, and, the initial interest of Real in Ade.

Albeit, I was led to believe afterwards he was going to Monaco!

I am completely in dark what this last minute messing about may be.

so nothing was in the wind? you stated that whatever "it" was, it wasn't dzeko 'cos that was a forgone conclusion.

the show of power that had all and sundry guessing on here and had convinced tevez to stay was a bit of interest in a benfica defender who we ultimately haven't been near.

people guessing that "this time i know it's for real" was kaka coming, actually turned out to be madrid loaning one of our out of favour strikers.

to summarise, when we all thought city were about to stun the football world, we just actually signed a player who we all knew we were getting anyway.

people are getting jealous because THD is connected.
i'm hoping for huge signing to get everybody talking about us.

I agree with you mate - how 80s shorts is not banned is a bit bizarre - there are hundreds of other threads he can comment on but always wants to be the internet warrior

That one was a bit easy Tolmie. Simply ticking down the hours before the window slams shut.

To me this just about sums up everything to do with a transfer window.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun,
but it's sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought,
or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the fields
The tolling of an iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

I remain convinced we have left whatever it is, too late in the day.

Dzeko was always to be our primary business.

However, there are people who insist otherwise, people I can't dismiss.

To expand the debate, maybe to reinforce my own view, Robinho is the only recent transfer I can recall where a name was not on the radar, been drawn out, prior to completion.

In analysis, a purchase would have to be on a certain level to have kept 'both ends' water tight.

Unless it is a rapidly developing situation or an opportunity.

I can think of another. What about Van de Vaart at Spurs...that was very last minute and nobody saw it coming.

Dont let the facts get in the way of a good story eh Theo. My comment earlier was to advise somebody to take the threads as a bit of fun. For this I got told to fuck off and you come out with unsubstantiated rubbish.

As far as "always being on Tolmies case", that is a crock of shit. I strongly disagreed with TH opinion on his Boateng thread, as did many others. Maybe I stated my case a little strongly but I did not personally abuse him.

As for being an internet warrior it is I that have been personally abused in this thread. However, I have not yet decided whether or not I will compose a leaving post. Somehow I dont think I will.

To many sensative souls on here.

Don't forget the guitar solo - it's the best bit

and also there are big transfers that take even a year or 2 to be completed.ronaldo, dzeko, now in the future fabregas.luiz may be the immediate.
