What was the best looking fighter and bomber of WW2?

Just out of interest PC - What has Ancoats got to do with The Lancaster?
Avro, who made it, were an Ancoats company. The original bomber was the Manchester bomber and it evolved into the Lancaster.

They were built in Ancoats in the old Brownsfield Mill in the early days but later moved to a larger factory in Chadderton.

Faireys In Stockport also built planes I believe.
They still exist, making mobile bridges for the armed forces. I worked there for a while, the bridge extends from the back of a lorry. Very impressive,

The Canadian built Avro Arrow fits here then. Most here would more than likely know more about it than myself but here's a brief.
A beautiful Interceptor built in 1958 that was about the fastest jet at the time with speeds achieving mach II. Cancelled during the trials stage for expense. Controversy exists about the official reason for conspiratorial ones. Who knows? Aircraft, parts and blueprints were all destroyed. The Americans did benefit.
