The way I see it we're struggling. Really struggling.
We have 16 games left. To get the same points as last season we can only drop 7 points more. So we're looking at 13 wins, 2 draws and a loss. The loss cannot be against United and indeed we will probably have to win that game. There is also a feeling that, with RVP, 89 points might not be enough. IMO this is the worst United team I've seen in a long time but unfortunately they have the best, game winning player they've had in a long time too.
Anyway, our fixtures;
Fulham home
QPR away
Liverpool home
Southampton away
Chelsea home
Villa away
Wigan home
Everton away
Newcastle home
Utd away
WBA home
Spurs away
WHU home
Swans away
Reading away
Norwich home
Now we all know trying to predict what might happen in those 16 games is churlish. But what I do know is somewhere in that lot we have to win at least 13 and probably 14. If we start to play as we can then we can do it.
Looks very, very tough to me though.
Why are we struggling? We are not struggling at all. We just havn't hit top form yet. We are still there. On the heels of Utd.
"Worst Utd team for a long time", Don't you believe it. Utd are not a one player team. Yes Van Rapist is massive difference, but don't be fooled into thinking the rest of the team are poor. They have been scoring goals from all over the team. When Carrick has been playing with Cleveley or Anderson, they have been really strong, its only when he plays the Ginger Tw@t or the decrepid shagger Utd have stuggled. I still think we have a better team and squad, but we need to be converting our chances better. We are slowly getting back to our form of last year, but it might be too late.
Yes we can still win the league, but we can't if you listen to the media or read the press. But if you watch with your own eyes, and put the bigger picture together, we can see that we are more than capable of winning the league again this year.
And when we do, it will be the biggest kicking Baconface pisscan has ever had.
I don't think it is the worst United team for a long time , no ..... they are a very good side ,and they have a number of players chipping in with goals.
But ask yourself this ..... how many of Van Persies winning goals have actually won them all three points in games , as his late goal at the Etihad did??
If it hadn't of been for his 'winners' , and i can think of numerous ones , i doubt very much whether they'd be top now.
