What will we have won 10 years from now?

In the next 10 years we should have been able to win the following:-

3 Premier League titles. Chelsea have managed 3 in the last 10 years so I don't see why we can't replicate that. It'll be tough but, providing we continue to invest at the correct level, and progress the way we have been, titles will surely come.

2 FA Cup. It's always quite difficult to win this, even the "big" sides have struggled. In the last 10 years Arsenal and Chelsea have won 3 each, then it's 1 each for Liverpool, City, United and Portsmouth. In fact United, THE dominate team of the Premiership era, have only won 4 of the 20 FA Cups (including this seasons) that have been on offer in that time, so any success in this competition should be welcomed.

3 League Cups. Based on the strength in depth we possess even our "reserve" sides are stronger than most first teams. Combine this with the relative low priority most teams place on this and we should do well most seasons.

1 Champion's League. This is the tough one. Chelsea haven't managed it yet, although they did come within 1 slip of doing so. English clubs have been dominant in Europe over the past 10 years, with Chelsea, United, Arsenal and Liverpool making Champion's League Finals. There's no reason why we can't make a final or 2 ourselves given the investment. Once there it's anyone's guess the outcome. Real Madrid and Barca will, most likely, still be the top forces in Europe over the next decade but, as Inter and United have proven, it's possible to win this trophy if you play well, and get an element of luck along the way.

I'd be delighted with 5 Premier League titles and 1 Champs League. The FA Cup and League Cup would be a mere bonus.

surly if mancini doesnt get sacked they should be showing him something like this and asking him is this possible to be delivered. if hes not confident then someone else should come in... as a 10 year plan this would be ideal and a achieveable target

No-one seems to be trying to set City in any kind of context. Spain appears to be entering a period of economic malaise and austerity and it's hard to see that Barca and Real cannot be affected by this. Italy and France don't look too clever and neither does England. As for clubs with American owners...

City look much better placed that others, and with plans already in place our revenue should show healthy year on year increases. It also has to be pointed that we have a squad in place which should only need "tweaking" at most for the next five seasons so....the sky's the limit!

Enjoy the ride!

Can't see why not, considering the players we have and the players who are rumoured to be coming.

What do you think would be the minimum that should have been won in 10 years from now?

chelsea since the arrival of Roman have had so much money spent on them but personally i dont think they have won as much as they should of done, this is shown by how many managers theyve had since he took over.

I think we should have at least 1 Champs league and maybe 4 premier league titles. add to that 2 Fa cups and maybe a league cup. but this is football and no ones gaurenteed to win anything.
In ten years:

4 Premier League titles
3 FA Cups
2 League Cups

(we do that every ten years for the next thirty and we'll be a serious club in this country in all aspects!).

From when the European Cup was first started in 1955, it took Barcelona 38 years to win it and another 14 years to win it again. I'm not particularly interested in winning that, that competition is just a bonus comp for raising money for the club. If we win it, great(!), but if we don't I'll never be too bothered.
