Rotters in 82. It was the only place let would let a group of lads from Hulme in!

I think it was Placemate 7. But it might've been one of a few tbh. But Placemates was the usual place. Loved the Bowie Room.

First time I went "clubbing" and discovered House Music et al was Back to Basics at the Warehouse in Leeds.

It was a club near Crompton Way in Bolton back in 1980. Can't remember the name but it was a shithole. Think the building was turned into a Kwik Save.

The Village Disco

I'm not old enough to remember being a young 45 but if I remember correctly I have a fly poster from there that I got when I bought some records years back but I think it had Hardrock/Village Disco on it.

aint read the the whole thread but has anyone mentioned rebecas, bury, northern soul night, thursdays. early 80`s. wot a night!

There was a little club on portland street called Vogue. Every midweek the "mix factory" used to do a set there.It was dodgy as fuck but I loved it. 808 state were involved

Mersey Lights pub and Valentines Club in Chorlton. Get in when you were 14 and get involved in the Wythenshawe/Merseybank games!!!

Must agree with that.
It was more like a holding area for cage fighting than a night club.

Sadly Rotters. Once & only once; everywhere else I ever went was brilliant after that.

When I was about 11 or 12 the Birdcage in Ashton used to have an under 18's Disco on a Saturday afternoon so we used to go to that in the close season.
