I don't understand the mentality of people who watch stuff like this or show other people. I think half the time it is an (totally misplaced) ego trip thing. Somewhere in the dark recesses they are thinking that it makes them some sort of 'up for it' unshockable hero if they will watch anything. Which is pretty funny seeing as all they are doing is clicking a button whilst sat in their armchair in their underpants.

This sounds melodramtic but I honestly reckon that every time some dick takes the decision to watch gruesome shit like this the human race becomes a little bit worse. Desensitising yourself is not a good thing and their are plenty of studies that will back up how it changes mentalities for the worse.

Recently, I showed my wife footage of one of those Iraq hostage be-headings. She was really upset and couldn't sleep properly for days. I think for me, it has to be that poor little Chinese girl being run over and ignored by everyone.

Why would you ever show such a video to your wife? Were you trying to be funny, or proving to her that there are much worse things than living with you?

To you and anyone else having a pop at me for showing my wife this, the circumstances were this: Someone where she works showed her the clip and she was convinced it was fake or some kind of illusion. After trying to convince her that it was very real she wouldn't believe me until she saw it with her own eyes.

Seems he is an ex marine and ambulance service, unfortunately they seem to be very bitter about us, same goes for the police, but they could always try and join if they think we are treated so well and underworked so much. I'd just like to add we don't go on blues to every job these days, so you know cock all about how many jobs we go to sunshine.

Earlier in the thread, i said it was when a young lad took his own life by using a high speed train, a few yards from where i was positioned.

My stories are quite tame compared to most on here.

Saw a lad hanging in a tree, made sure I did not look at his face. The thought of some young kid finding him seemed to effect me more.

Also found an old Alzheimer sufferer on a on a very cold search. He was fading in front of me, not particularly shocking but disturbing all the same.

I really don't know why anybody would watch the videos of be headings etc. I dread the day my kids come home and tell me the have seen them on somebodies phone.
