After reading about the aggro in Spain last week, I was wondering what the worst trouble was you've witnessed whilst following City? For me it would be Spurs away in the late 90's. Stopped in a pub near the ground for a quiet drink with a load from our coach. We were in there minding our own business when word must have got out that City were looking for trouble (which we weren't) and all hell broke loose.

A load of Spurs turned up and started by bricking the windows. My mate Gavin was unfortunately by the window at the time having a shandy and ended up having 10 stitches in his head and receiving a concusion for his troubles. The next thing we know and they're comiing through the doors in numbers and I remember one shouting ''Get out of our facking manor'' and them laying into everyone. Now there weren't many blues in there who were into fighting with quite a few older blokes and women there, but this didn't seem to bother these idiots who were hell bent on causing havoc. Tables and chairs were smashed and parts were used as weapons to hit people with and it became very frightening. After a minute or two more blues turned up and came in at which point these cowards decided they didn't want any more trouble. Unfortunately for the Spurs trouble is what they got and they got a right good shoeing including a few digs from the regular blues who had had enough by that point. After the police arrived we were escorted to the ground and the pub had been completely trashed. I seem to remember hearing afterwards that it was closed for about 4 days such was the damage.

Fortunately we've not had many days like that in my experience but that was definitely not a day for the faint hearted!

Millwall away in 99 I think was living in London at the time - horrible area, horrible fans, broken glass everywhere, fire, injured police and marched flanked by dogs to London bridge station. Huge amount of violence and in truth it didn't really involve the city fans as we were locked in for a very very long time. Over 30 Met officers ended in hospital!

Bizarre thing was when we equalised for 1-1 I barely celebrated as I thought we were 2-0 down as I thought a disallowed goal for them had stood and I couldn't understand the celebrations

After the Derby in the 2000-01 season at old trafford.
The corridor of Oxford road and its bars were horrid

I seen a guy outside a bar getting pint pots thrown at his head and being kicked in, thankfully then this one was broken up the polcie came swooping around the corner.

Still horrible, I dont know if the guy whom was getting batterd glassed you named it was a blue or red, but he did not deserve that no way whatsover of resisiting or fighting back .

When I was a boy in the platt lane stand I was walking up the stair at half time with a cup of tea in each hand, one for me one for dad. My programme was stuck out of my top pocket, some twat stopped me took it out and glanced at the front page and said "cheers" and walked off with it. I was was both devastated and seething.even at 12 I'd have had a dig but my hands were carrying the two brews. Should have burnt the **** with them.

Oh and some rags jumped me behind the kippax and knicked me scarf.id be about 20 at the time. Cowards .

The nearest bother since was that friggin tram in dusseldorf, we'd beaten schalke and a group attacked our tram, wading in smashing windows etc.
We were saved by brollyman :)

I was also at the Millwall game. Decided to have two pints at half-time, heard a big cheer whilst still drinking and then spent the rest of the second half under the illusion that City were losing 2-0. When we were finally released managed to make it too Elephant and Castle without incident although the atmosphere was tense. Too be honest can't recall seeing any major incidents. Worst was probably Birmingham away in around 88/89.

as a young kid i was sat in wimpy at the end of Market Street - not the one that is now burger king - one at the other end. Saw some forrendous violence including 3 men attacking fot ten minutes a man held and sat on the floor. ir must have been 25 years ago or more. Anyway read in one of those crasppy hooligan books a few years back that this was the famous battle of wimpy. West Ham v City. Alledgedley Mickey Francis was thrown through a window?? Not sure if that is true. Never real seen that much over the years - thank goodness. Still remember those images now!
