Lost about 3 n 1/2 stone in last 12 months
I can't think of anything ore appropriate than HIIT for getting rid of it. What I do is get to the running track, walk two laps, full sprint for 20 seconds, walk for 40 seconds, sprint for 20, walk for 40 (do the sprints and the walk 6-10 times) and then walk round for two laps to cool down. You don't need a running track, you can do it on roads, in a field, etc. I do that a few times a week and on days I don't do a bit of a work out that involves different variations of pressups, different variations of sit ups, squats, lunges and if you have a chin up bar, incorporate that in too.NQT said:Joycee Banercheck said:Good on you. If you've hit a plateau try and mix things up a bit. Have you thought about HIIT? Its a bit gruelling and you want to throw up after every session, but it burns fat quicker than anything else I've ever done. I got to a stage where I was just saying the same weight and physique even if I upped my exercise, but with HIIT I shed the last few pounds.
I'll give that a go. Will it shift the last of the fat from around my waistline?

I decided that enough was enough after being overweight for the majority of my adult life.
For 20 years I have set a goal of running a marathon but I have always made excuses and/or sabotaged my progress by allowing things to get in my way.
This year I have sacrificed a great deal in that I have had ZERO alcohol, adopted a healthy diet and undertook a training regime which included 3 training sessions a week with British Military Fitness in Heaton Park and road running inbetween. Couple that with the fact that I run a business and have a growing family(my wife is 3 weeks away from having our 3rd little one and the other two are 4 and 2!!!)
Next Sunday, 13th September, I am running my 1st Marathon in Fleetwood and I'm hoping to do it in 4 hrs 30 mins.
I am now 14 stone flat and I could not have done this without BMF (British Military Fitness)

I want to eat what I normally eat but hold back on the junk food (crisp biscuits fizzy drinks)
How much exercise will I need to do?
Any tips would be fantastic.

I wouldn't recommend it but it works as a weight loss programme .
Only a couple of transplants? If you're going to fucking do something, so it properly.Stuart said:I lost over 5 stone within a relatively short period of time . It was quite easy looking back .
