That was before Metrovicks, ICI Ciba-Geigy, Superheaters, BBA, Massey-Ferguson, Lancashire Dynamo, Manchester Steel, RubberRegen, Carborundum, ManchesterLiners, Dunlop, Hotpoint, Containerbase, Bluewater Shipping, Turners Asbestos and various butty vans all went tits up. I think it’s more a question of where you feel comfortable living, lived in Bramhall and Wilmslow most of my life, can’t say it’s posh just know the bars/restaurants to go to.

I live in Eccles(Monton side)it's a great place,i wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Manchester.

Monton side means you will never be hungry! All the cafes & restaurants around there. Good choice.
I live Winton side and same goes. I wouldn’t live anywhere else in Manchester. I’ve lived in Burnage, Chorlton & Didsbury but it’s Eccles for me all the time. :-)
And now to prepare for the journey to Londonia!
