What's the "poshest" area around Manchester....

Excuse me, the fine area that is Gorton has four lovely parks, bowling greens, two teain stations, a mecca bingo, snooker hall, dog track and cinema.

No better place on earth

What was the pub called again now shut down.
Just up from the Travelodge.
Got a lock in every time I was in after a midweek match.

Hmmm. I used to fish poynton pool regularly in the 80s. I remember a big posh white house on Anglesey drive opposite the car park. I knocked on the door asking for a plaster as I cut my finger and a posh old woman came to the door as though I was trying to rob her. I was pretty convinced she was posh hearing her plummy voice, but I noticed a fuckin' big iron burn in her dressing gown! Pretentious scruffy cow.
That would be the Grange. There is a lake in the back garden which I remember fishing as a kid.

My neck of the woods Tarporley is posh. It even has its own Polo club. The whole area is very horsey. You can define a posh area to where the car park spaces are too small to fit the big expensive cars in and the beer is over 5 quid a pint.
Bloody hell, I don't come across too many from round there. I'm originally from Utkinton just down the road. Not lived there since 1992 mind, but yes, remember it being posh as hell round there. Like me.

Yeah but you still spell Leve wrong, using the posh way of Levy ;-)

Nah had to be before that I'm old enough to remember the 80s and those places were pretty rough back then. I'm thinking early 70s

Well me mam and dad moved to Abbey Hey in 76 when I was born and it was considered a nice area, along with hyde road up towards west gorton, as was bradford where me gran lived, though beswick next door was considered rough.
