Glasgee is great and Edinburgh a must see also... Aberdeen impressive but the journey by road is a f***** ballache even from where you are sweaty :-)

Oh and it's Glesga, ga Glesga

Very important point of pronunciation. Haven't heard that pronunciation since the 1948 version of Whisky Galore. :)

I was put off Glasgow after attending a Rod Stewart Concert at the SECC. After the concert we witnessed a procession of unfortunate incidents from Mary Nisbet clones singing 'do ya think am sexy' to ladies getting involved in fisticuffs. Ultimately, we were stalked and nearly eaten by foxes. Took me a while after for it to grow in my affections. Edinburgh is slightly more refined for those of a more delicate nature.

You are right. An encounter with elderly Rod fans in Glasgow is best avoided. Even by natives.

Our foxes have adopted Glasgow cultural ways, but only if you cut about acting like you own it.

Never a good idea.

It has its soft side. It's just harder to find and not as much fun.

Given we were trying not to be noticed by Mary doll and her acquaintances, I can confirm we were acting in an extremely fox passive way.

Thankfully, all this mullarkey was is the past and I have now come to love the city, it's culture and even some of its more sober residents.
