What's your favourite European city?

Manchester obviously but if I'm being unbiased it's Barcelona ( beautiful city and lovely weather) then Amsterdam for the fun

I see there's been a few shouts for Seville and Cadiz. Has anyone done a combined holiday of the 2? Are the beaches any good for children around Cadiz?

Stayed in Tarifa just down the coast from Cadiz, great places but not great beaches for children, big surfing / windsurfing beaches, so big waves and it's the Atlantic so cold, and the beaches are nice but can be quite windy.

Apart from home I love Rotterdam, some great pubs, good places to eat some great looking locals. Even if the city itself is a bit grey

I'm lucky enough (IMHO) to travel a lot with work, so have visited a lot of places on the surface, but not got to explore places well. So, a few different cities for consideration:

Barcelona: have loved every visit there I've had, for work or holiday (despite the robbing b*astards around Las Ramblas)

Vienna: a real melting-pot of east-meets-west Europe

Paris: lots to criticise, but I have found nowhere with such genuine, self-assured class and charm

Helsinki: a stunning, compact city built over lots of islands, with very friendly people

Dresden: was expecting a German Coventry, but it's just beautiful

Outside of the nirvana that is Manchester? None of them. They're all choc-a-bloc with those horrible, smelly, unwashed, Johnny Foreigner types. The Brexit-ers have it absolutely bang on.
Have you seen Market Street lately!
