I don't get excited much for the world cup but seem to enjoy the Euro a lot more
As for the domestic game, my favourite is the FA cup, that probably makes me sound a bit nostalgic rather than some of the stuff they put on show these days. I think the dissapointment of 87 cup final and then watching Gazza in 91 just was amazing, but the worst part is I thought I'd see a lot more FA cup wins after that. Although that is my favourite competition, I'd want to win the league the most, you have to have that consistency over the season and I don't believe luck can carry you all the way. The only thing I don't like about the premier league is that you get told every other week it's the best league in the world, the absurd wages and talk of the top 4 of being the holy grail. As for the league cup, it's considered a joke but I don't mind the thing too much, if you lose you can call it a mickey mouse cup, if you win it's a medal!
So what's your favourite competition overall? Your favourite in the domestic game, Europe and international?!
Unfortunately financially it has now become the be all and end all to finish and qualify for the Champions League and also to attract players who deem it not good enough playing for a team not in the Champions League.
Personally my favourite is still the FA Cup. Winning the FA Cup on hopefully a sunny day out at Wembley is the best.
It can only be bettered by winning the league in dramatic fashion on the final day of a season, and if we were to win the league many times more it would be difficult to top the QPR game ever again.
Thus an FA Cup Final on a pleasant day in May, and a win of course, tops all else.
Cheers for saving me 5 minutes of finger work, you nailed it sir.
