It must sound weird but I'm not a massive fan of the champions league at all. I want Spurs to be in the competition (I enjoyed the last run) but I find it very boring these days and overhyped. The Europa just seems a joke to me.

I don't get excited much for the world cup but seem to enjoy the Euro a lot more

As for the domestic game, my favourite is the FA cup, that probably makes me sound a bit nostalgic rather than some of the stuff they put on show these days. I think the dissapointment of 87 cup final and then watching Gazza in 91 just was amazing, but the worst part is I thought I'd see a lot more FA cup wins after that. Although that is my favourite competition, I'd want to win the league the most, you have to have that consistency over the season and I don't believe luck can carry you all the way. The only thing I don't like about the premier league is that you get told every other week it's the best league in the world, the absurd wages and talk of the top 4 of being the holy grail. As for the league cup, it's considered a joke but I don't mind the thing too much, if you lose you can call it a mickey mouse cup, if you win it's a medal!

So what's your favourite competition overall? Your favourite in the domestic game, Europe and international?!

Unfortunately financially it has now become the be all and end all to finish and qualify for the Champions League and also to attract players who deem it not good enough playing for a team not in the Champions League.

Personally my favourite is still the FA Cup. Winning the FA Cup on hopefully a sunny day out at Wembley is the best.

It can only be bettered by winning the league in dramatic fashion on the final day of a season, and if we were to win the league many times more it would be difficult to top the QPR game ever again.

Thus an FA Cup Final on a pleasant day in May, and a win of course, tops all else.

Cheers for saving me 5 minutes of finger work, you nailed it sir.

Love the FA Cup due to it's randomness. Goliath v David. Goliath v Goliath. It's what the Champions League should be...all the champions plus the rest if you want in a big fuck off hat and pull them out...Barca v Real 1st round? Brilliant!

The trouble is, the CL is one big cash cow and is only fiddled with if it generates more money. I hate it. I hate all the commentary. Every game is "fantastic" or "a brilliant advert for football" according to them. I hate the music. I hate the seat allocation. I hate the generic adverts. I hate it all.

1- prem
2- FA Cup

On another note, was travelling through Italy in 2011,got to some place called Ravenna, and low and behold the beach soccer World Cup was there,so I had a bit,as you do.......was fuckin brilliant.
Anyone out in Portugal between 9th and 19th July this year,it's on in Espinho......you'll enjoy it.

Agree with what most are saying about the Chumps League.
I've decided to not join the European scheme for seasoncards this time. The tourists can have my seat.
Going for FA Cup only because of poor ticket allocation in the Final. Should have enough loyalty for a League Cup Final.
Do one, Platini

So here's looking forward to next May 2016, and Aguero scoring a Cup Final winner at the 'City end' of Wembley that cements his status as a City great, and either denies Arsenal a third successive FA Cup, or beats Utd in the first ever all Manchester FA Cup Final that Louis Van Gaal was hoping would provide his first trophy at Utd, after a disastrous 2nd season (and in the latter Aguero after scoring goals in the league Derby games in the 2015-2016 season takes him past Wayne Rooney as the all time top scorer in Manchester Derby matches)
