When a child is born?

She was in labour for 12 hours for the 1st born. The midwife asked me if I'd had anything to eat. I said no and she went and got me a cheese salad sandwich and a chicken tikka.

My first born took 27 hours to arrive (after the 9 month incubation period obviously)

I Mainly tested out the gas and air (to ensure it was functioning ok you understand)and went out for about 20/30 cigs with one of me pals whose missus was also in labour couple rooms down, and caught some shut eye.

My girlfreind had a water birth, looked like a nice jaccuzi, they played whale music, had a laver lamp on , the gas/air and the whole labour meant she was nearly sleeping lol

was 5 hours, i held her hand throughout, not knowing if the baby was mine or not! 6am , 14th May she was born

Went through painful sodding agony for 30 hours.

Without gas and air. You win the prize.

I was sat next to her in hospital trying to understand her pain and telling her to squeeze my hand when it got more painful.

I bit his hand. Very hard.

I was so tired and completely out of it on gas and air after 30 hours I crawled up the delivery table on my hands and knees and told the staff to all fuck off when they wanted to try a forceps delivery. I was only 18 and usually extremely polite.
Trust me when I say that for a woman it isn't dignified or even remotely profound at the time. It's just horrible, well it was for me anyway.
The baby at the end of it is good though ;-)

Jesus. I feel sorry for you! Everyone was proud of how well I did and how quick I got her out. Gas and air was amazing, made it much easier. I just wanted it over with so popped her out pretty fast lol. Couldn't imagine doing it for 30 hours.
A lot of admiration for that!
