There's a difference between "well" and "great". We've played well most of this season, especially considering the results. We haven't played great since tearing Newcastle apart (seeing as United lost 0-3 there). The CS only turned around once they went down a man and two of our goals developed from the left side where Ivanovic was missing.
My only worry with the league is that United are going to continue having the refs win them points. We are getting results when we don't deserve it, which is what we lacked last season. I'd rather us grind results more often and not get as many massive wins, rather than dominate everyone for half a year followed by a string of bad results and throw away a points lead.
