Today for me. My Dad is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and isn’t a well man. He took a turn for the worse this morning and they had to call an ambulance and it hit me quite hard. Probably a cumulation of things really, but mainly the grim reality that sadly the end is getting ever nearer.

My dad had Alzheimer's Ric as I've previously mentioned to you in pm. I empathize and feel how you're feeling as I was there to see my old man regress to nothingness, and die in a pitiful way. It got harder every single time I turned up to his old folks home. I was sat there talking to him and he was oblivious and out of it near to the end . As I mentioned I was relieved when he passed away and suffered no more for him and myself, and it brought closure and understanding to me. I wish your dad the very best he can be and try and stay strong yourself because you have to for yourself, your family and friends. All the best pal.

And I'd just like to say to anyone admitting to crying, so what it's just a kind of pressure release valve, no shame in it and nowt to feel embarrassed about. I cried a few weeks ago when I got about 14 hours of broken sleep in about a hundred hours through tinnitus. I felt I was running on empty. Glad to say I'm on the mend now. Chin up blues, not easy I know but we're British and made of tough mettle.
