When does a company or organisation have a right or duty to investigate a criminal allegation?

Hope it’s okay I put this in here up to seven police sent to arrest a scared teenage autistic girl hiding in a cupboard for telling a wpc she looks like a lesbian and try to arrest her for homophobic speech.
The kid is screaming it seems over the top to me surely they can just serve notice.

Mob Handed
Easy target
Policing feelings instead of crimes

Hope this family rinse this bunch for everything and get them fired, one thing I abhor is a bully.

Calling someone lesbian or gay may be insulting but is isn't abusive unless accompanied by more severe other words or behaviour.

Slur words might be judged abusive but definitely not neutral PC terms.

Someone calling a policeman's horse gay was one of the popular examples used to change the law and remove "insulting" from the wording of public order offences.

If it isn't just edited tiktok bollocks (and there wasn't another valid reason for her arrest) they should sue the police for wrongful arrest.
