When is it time for a change?

Now is a time for change. I understand people who don't want to change (and respect that opinion) but this whole season has looked a season too far for everyone including the management. Nothing lasts forever. The football is mindnumbingly boring and it's solely on the manager. I'd happily take the results and position we are in if we actually tried to play attacking football. It's why people who think this is like first season pep are completely missing the point.

We pride ourselves on a great youth set up. This is there time to get game time
We've sold most of the players from our great youth set up though - as obviously we:
a) didn't think them up to our standard
b) the offer was too good.
c) they couldn't see a route to the first team
Take your pick.
That's left us with O'Reilly and McAtee who can't get in a team on the worst run we've had in over 12 years - option C looking clearer isn't it.
We have Foden and Lewis in there, and a combination of a/b has bitten us.
Lack of reinvestment, and not refreshing at least 1 players for 4 windows exacerbates this look.
It's happened and now we have a lot of work to do in a short time

Look I'm not calling for Peps head. It's just how long we give him to correct this shit show. He is being loyal to a good few due to injuries. We pride ourselves on a great youth set up. This is there time to get game time. Is Pep on a target if we miss out on champions league is that a stackable offence I do think he will see out the season had he got it in him to fix this and rebuild fully again. I'm just on the fence. It's not as if a new face wouldn't bring a freshness to the team it would new ideas might help be that new additions to the coaching set up with fresh ideas to bounce off Pep but it's just getting to the stage what we are doing is shit and we're well capable of being the elite.

Sooner or later we have to start thinking about life after the big man. I'm absolutely fine with the club giving him autonomy to decide when he is going to hang up his whistle, but I will say I think that day is coming quicker than some of us think, or want to admit.

As much as he's done for the club, football is very simply a 'what have you done for me lately' business and if we drop out of top 4 / CL qualification, it undoes a lot of solid work done over the last decade or so somewhat (even though I'm sure we'd be fine for a season or two financially).

Yes, injuries have been brutal this season, but some of the baffling decisions Pep keeps making (high fucking line, kids getting zero minutes when surely they can offer something) are absolutely contributing very heavily to this current slide. January is going to be as interesting a month as we've had in a long time, lets see how heavily the club backs our fella.

What’s your analysis of that game and performance, Kaz.

I’m all ears on where you see the shining lights and green shoots in that game, so fire away…
I doubt @kaz7 is suggesting there were "green shoots"
It's more about the fact some aren't willing to give our greatest manager time to turn things around.
This season is shot to shit - let's see what we've got after the next 2 windows eh

Do things when you can, not when you must !!

The great man should be telling Khaldoon that he's going to stand down after the WCC, and for him to go and get his chosen replacement....the time has come.

Everything and everyone has its/his time, and Pep's time has been utterly magnificent, but for his ,the players ,the club & the fans sake, a change will be right for everyone.

New DoF....New Players....New style....New Era.

Thank you Pep, its been a privelege, an honour and a wonderful pleasure.

God bless you and yours, enjoy a golfing sabatical and return when you're ready, as our Global Football Ambassador.
