When Is The Club Going To Stop Selling Tickets In The Home End To Away Fans?

Wembley can be a problem.
I have been in the away ends at Bolton,Burnley and Southampton.Still get emails from Southampton about tickets.

The answer to the headline question is NO!

Away Fans

The 1894 Bar is in an area exclusive to home fans. If you or any of your guests support a visiting team, please behave in an appropriate manner and do not make your allegiance known in any way.

I’ve actually been a home fan in the away end.

City v Blackburn at Maine Road.
Big game
Sold out and couldnt get a ticket.
A friends sister worked for C.I.S.
Got me 3 tickets - promised we wouldnt jump up if we scored.
Getting a load of shit from the North Stand - i was smug as fuck.

Richard Edgehill scores and we jump up and down and was surprised of the amount of City fans around us in the Blackburn end (i shit you not)

We all got escorted into the North Stand and stood at the back

If anybody knows the date or the score that would be apprciated
Not sure about the game you’re on about but I remember the game in 2002 when we came back from 0-2 down to rescue a draw right at the death. My Blackburn supporting mate was in the away end and I was at the back of the north stand. We were in the ground early so my mate casually strolled into the home end and we went for pre match pint together. He casually strolled back into the away end as the teams came out for ko. The stewards didn’t give a shit!

Ticketing Compliance (so a bit broader than this thread) is actually on the City Matters agenda next Monday (14th October). I've had a lot of comments from supporters already on touting and third party platforms, but would welcome any further comments.

@jrb has done a lot of good work on this and the example above is a great example for me to use.

Good story that. Think it was in 1999 the season we went up with Royle. I was at the game too - can’t remember who got our other goal. Think Kiddo was sacked as Rovers manager soon after

How many City fans considered registering as a Bratislava fan on their website when our small allocation was announced?

Also, I've spotted dozens of Glasgow Rangers fans at big CL games at the ETIHAD.
Who will they support if City get drawn against Rangers?

It happens, and occasionally (United v Celtic, United v Galatasaray) it comes back to haunt you.
I registered as a Porto fan for the Chelsea CL final and got tickets :-) They keep sending updates on how the team is doing :-)

Same with Southampton and Brighton ..

A simple, ‘is there a possibility that you just sell tickets to City fans?’

If City are so insistent on not giving a shit about who has tickets for City games and they let any **** in who supports any old cunty team to sit in the City sections of the stadium, please can the condition come with a stern ban on any and all club colours (shirts, scarves… anything, everything!) of any other club in the home sections… only City colours should be seen in the City ends.

Also, if they can refrain from jumping up with their team scores and then kicking off with Blues who dare to tell them to sit down and shut up, that would be nice n’all.

Ideally, City would sell tickets to City fans only in the City sections of the stadium, as per their own Ts&Cs, but they don’t stick to that.

One issue is that the club has priced out thousands of fans especially those who are relatively local. In turn their kids haven’t been exposed to the game as their parents were. You only have to look at matches from the 70’s and 80’s to see the thousands of kids in the kippax. So now the club had to outsource tickets galore to third party agencies who don’t care who they sell to. Equally the club takes the piss with away tickets by giving hundreds to companies / ticket agencies who have no affiliation to the club which is why you see fans of other clubs in our away ends at many games or people with little or no interest other than saying they were there.
Rags in front of me at Liverpool last season, a family of Chinese at Arsenal where the wife spent most of the games sat down on her phone, a Spurs fan next to me at Chelsea as he hates Chelsea and wanted them to lose. The list goes on and it’s beyond a joke how the club treats the fans. The Real Madrid fiasco is another game that springs to mind and don’t get me started on the horrific pricing for the CL this season.
