The trick is to change the formation to a 4-1-3-2.

never happen ? we played this formation several times this season. e.g. vs west ham, victoria plzen (away), cska (home) and norwich.

how could any suggest something as stupid as that. david silva is a genius and much better than nasri.

nasri cuts in with his right foot on the left wing, which isn't very difficult. silva cuts in with his left foot on the left wing. you have to be really special to do that.

I agree. This is our absolute best XI possible.
In the last 30min, if things aren't going our way we could then let Navas and Jovetic come in.
That being said, I can't shake my head at how weak our bench looks now though.
We need in January to get a solid DM and backups for Cb & left backs.

Yes Silva will come straight back in and we will be even better. A fit and in form Silva playing today and we go in at H-T 3-0 up IMO. Our possession stats with Merlin would be much higher. The little passing triangles between Dave, Yaya and Nasri will create a lot of chances for Aguero or Negredo.
