My first true replica shirt was the '81 FA Cup Final embroidered one - which I wore to both the final & replay, before that I had a couple of the "lookalike" boxed Bukta kits.

My brother got the Umbro diamond kit for his birthday (1977 I'm sure), and I was well jealous. Mum bought it from Alexander Sports on the corner of Wilmslow Road and Wilbraham Road.
I think wearing replicas became popular in the late 80s.

My dad got me the maroon and white stripped away kit in 88 from Alexander's , used to love goin there.
