Death can be scary or just an intrinsic part of our short lives. I was not afraid of being born and neither do I fear death unlike a lot of olden folk in our complex that now go to church every week because they think they are playing their fat big joker card like on that program It's A Knockout. Churches are full of olden folk people because the coffin dodgers are proper proper dobbing themselves as they know what's coming and so most are hoping for some form of redemption. If he is up there then I personally don't like the guy for everything hes done and everything hes not done on this beautiful spinning sphere we call Earth and would sooner cast my lot in with Old Nick but that's just my opinion and that's if of course he does exist ? I have no doubt that if he does exist he will give me a proper woman slap and dig for saying all of the above as the book of Genesis has taught us us he could proper have his angry mad moments.
So what in my humble opinion is coming with regard to death ? Well you have to stop breathing first and then your heart stop pumping and finally cessation of brain actitivity and ulemitly clinical death. Then regrettably your body will start to break down with a autlysis or what we know as decomposition as our cells become deprived of oxgen and their acidity increases as the toxic byproducts of chemical reaction begin to gather inside. Enzymes will start to gobble cell membranes and then leak out as the cells break down. Damaged blood cells begin to spill out of broken vessels and aided by gravity setle in the capilaries shading skin and our blood will begin to gravitate downwards as our circulatory system stops working causing hyperstasis staining.
And Then after all that you get disposed of in a manner of your choosing or that dictated by your loved ones and whether this is in the form a Viking funeral Buriel at sea, Worm bait or the Crem and pulmeriser the end result is the same. Even if you somehow miraculously survived all this by divine intervention then it would do you little good as you would not be able to chat with those gone before you. If St Peter asks when you get up to the pearly gates are you repentant for sinning in your past life, you desperately want to profess your sins with a fresh start but you cant because all you do is muffle and mumble and groan because the cock handed undertaker down below took the liberty of sewing your mouth tight shut with twine so effectively your a mute and get thrown to hell because you couldn't say sorry as your lips wont work and not even a VAR in place to back you up. So smile always because this ride is the only ride we are getting and how blessed are we all to have partaken of the wonderful journey....Have a quick listen to this snippet below from a very good pal of mine called Professor Dawkins and I hope and pray to my Lord Crom that I have not bored you with incessant waffle as that was not my intention. Happy New year and think not what you can give up for the next decade but what you can add to'' Like more cake more beer more gin more holidays in the Dorm and more Moonwalking. In the immortal words of my Spartan king Leonidas Eat Drink and be Merry for tonight we dine in Hades !
“We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here.We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?”
