Where do we go from here?

My crystal ball predicts that Spuds will be knocked out of the CL Qualifiers by Benfica, Ajax or Lyon so no great loss coming fifth. We need to get that precious third place next season...or better. We have had a damn good season, the best since 68 without a shadow of doubt. We don't chuck out the baby, just get rid of the water and turn the tap on.

Didn't we finish higher than fifth in 1977 or thereabouts or am I simply dreaming?
