Where do you think we'll finish this season and why?

1st or 2nd depending on luck with injuries, especially Aguero.
Also, if Pellegrini picks a steady back 4 also, with Kompany and Mangala consistently which he changed too much last season and you really need a defensive base. For Lescotts faults in 11/12, he and Kompany played solidly when they were both fit.
Also the balance of refereeing decisions was against us last year, which hopefully won't happen this season.

At present 3rd or 4th. With pogpa and de Brune I would say 2nd - champions if we invest in full backs as well. This squad has not been freshened up enough yet. We were poor for a lot of last season. Not impressed with our pre season at all.

Wow some people on here forget we came 2nd last year and won it the year before.. with pretty much the same players. They were lazy and unmotivated last season and they know it.

The fighting talk has begun and if they play to their potential this team can be better than anyone. Its whether they can play like that all season.

I think they can. They want to win it again, bounce back.

De Jong who started a quarter of our games in title number 1 (and who we had a much lower win % in the side) and who played none of the games in title two is going to make the difference????????

I think probably 2nd again. We will play some incredible stuff but will probably again be too open and not pragmatic enough to gain the points total we will need. I'm sure I'm going to love most of it though, we are likely to play some entertaining stuff

I think we will win it, Chelsea had one of the best injury runs the Premier League era has seen and whilst some of it is good management a lot is luck. I think season two is harder and they will not get through a season on so few players anywhere near as easily this year.

Have to say my biggest concern is that we don't hit the ground running and get the results we need in the first two games. I thought we started last season with a lot of players knackered after the World Cup and starting late as a result and I see the same thing happening again and it is imperative we get ahead of Chelsea and put pressure on them and put mourinho under pressure. He is a brilliant front runner as a manager and he is not great at chasing and dealing with the issues of not having a margin to spare.

I am not sure what we could do about it though as I think zabba, Fernandinho and aguero needed rest and therefore we had to let them come back late. If we are to get de bruyne and pogba I would also rather we had thrown a bit extra money their way and got them in earlier as again I would prefer players learning roles ore season not at home v chelsea

Pre season isn't worth taking too seriously. You don't know how tough training has been and we are without key personnel.

However, concerns remain over yaya and our central midfield. Delph looked good and we have fernandinho but is that enough?

Bony is injured and aguero yet to return, will we have enough firepower if dzeko leaves?

Left back horrific and without further additions I think we will finish third. I can see Arsenal taking another step forward.

I think we'll win the league and score the most goals doing it. The team has gotten a lot better in this window and the attack should be even more lethal once De Bruyne comes in (Pogba I'm not so sure of). We still need to get another LB like Alex Sandro to replace Kolarov but I expect the defense to improve from last year. Arsenal and United haven't done anything so I don't see how anyone can say we finish below 2nd.
