Where do you think we'll finish this season and why?

I think it all depends on how well we will to start to press. Will we finally start press as a team? Not only 1-2 players occasionally woring instead of others, but as whole team will we defend from the front or not?

Can Pelle really change to way we play to constant pressing? Does he make them have enough energy/stamina for all season this pre season? Because high line defence, without disciplined pressing/track back will result the same awful defensive moments like last season where we only can blame our defenders but deep down they know they are ripped apart because of our system that Pelle likes to use without ordering the players to press as a team and help out with keeping the shape/tracking back etc.

Thats one part of it, the system we will use, doesnt really matter its 442, 4231, if the needed discipline is not there from the players, we wont win the title.

Other part is imo injuries, when they happen, how we cope, and also motivation, hunger of players, form of the players, last season apart from 3-4 players the complete squad was playing below their ability.

Regarding transfers so far its good, Sterling will give us something we missed so far, he can also press better than Nasri or Milner imo.Lot of pace also.
Delph is no more than sub, but good home grown option, cheap as well.

But we do need a top CM operator, we want Pogba for a reason, if we cant get him I really hope we will spend the money other top class talent then instead of saying well we couldnt get Pogba, we dont spend the money we wanted to spend on him.
Thats exactly what Chelsea did when they made bid for Rooney in 2013 August, was not accepted they started the season, toothless Torres upfront with Demba Ba, it cost them a lot in that season imo. Next season they went out brought in Remy/Costa and won the league.

We will nail a top 4 spot in what order I don't know, for me the team is still not complete a left back and a big upgrade in midfield is needed certainly for Europe. One thing we need to do is work harder when out of possession we can be quite lazy in getting the ball back.

Head says I think to win it we need:
1) more luck with injuries
2) aguero, toure, silva, komps, hart all showing consistent form
3) strenghening left back position
4) one of Pogba or KDB
5) Manuel to stop pointless rotation and set up team to counter oposition strengths
6) fair treatment on penalty decisions
7) 8 goals and 10 assists from Raheem
8) at least one of our youngsters having a breakthrough season
9) beat the bottom 6 clubs home and away

if we get maybe 6 of these we would have a good chance as long as point 2 and 5 happen.

I think it depends on how well we defend. Whether Kompany regains form and Mangala has a much better second season. Whether we upgrade at left back. Whether we can provide better defensive cover from midfield

we need two new fullbacks, one more world class midfielder and KDP if this happens we will win the league otherwise im afraid 4th place for us next year. Our entire backline need to have the season of their lives for us to win the league. We are thin in midfield Toure and Delph gone and we are fucked with only Dinho left worth mentioning. Our squad is not only thin it getting old fast.

Agree, we don't press as a team, one player will but then nobody else follows, as a result, players are out of position and it hinders us defensively. We have a great squad, and if we land KDB and utilise a 433 or 4231 we could easily win the league.
