Where do you think we'll finish this season and why?

If we play 433, get a new LB and play the youth talents we'll do it.
Oh yea, and make 60min subs not 82mins.

Quietly confident. We need a good start and at least one of our two big targets but I think, from what I have read, the team are fired up this season. I don't think, for whatever reason, they were last maybe because of the transfers in being a little underwhelming.

If we only sign three young lads for the EDS, and Sterling and Delph I think we'll push Chelsea harder and longer than we did (or actually didn't) last season but will finish 2nd still. Might still only finish 2nd if we sign more players. We were that far off last season and had so many glaring weaknesses that there's a lot to claw back with a core of the team all around the 30 mark.

I think we could do OK this season but I still feel we will fall short of the title. In too many games at home last season against what we would call inferior opposition we looked far too predictable going forward. This is because teams knew that if they put ten men behind the ball and at the same time stifled Silva then City would struggle to break them down. Our possession statistics in some games were phenomenal without us ever looking like scoring. The addition of Sterling and possibly De Bruyne should give us another dimension to our play and get us over the line in more of these games.

Where we really fell short last season was in midfield when particularly away from home we could get overrun and I'm worried the same will happen this season. Delph is a good player but he isn't the world class midfielder we have been crying out for and this is where our transfer policy has fallen down this summer. If you look at some of the players who have moved clubs this summer Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Vidal, I really can't understand why we weren't in for any of these players knowing how difficult the Pogba deal was going to be. This area of the team is in much more need of addressing than bringing in a De Bruyne type player.

As it stands I think we'll get closer to Chelsea but still finish behind them but United and Arsenal will be closer to us as well. In the Champions League we'll still struggle against any opposition of real quality.

mmmmmmh

Think we'll stay clear of relegation.

Then go onto to win it. Still worried about LB, though new formation might tackle that issue. Our front 6 of Aguero, Silva, Sterling, KDB, Yaya & Nasri is going to take some stopping

Might win every game 6-5

I've predicted top in the last four seasons but fear Chelsea have now opened up a bit of a gap. Sterling is a great signing but we still have something missing in terms of all-round consistency, killer instinct and tactical discipline.

Second, then, with Arsenal breathing down our necks. The rags will be closer than last year but still only visible in our rear-view mirrors.

Hope to see some of those kids properly blooded this season as an investment in the future.

Champs League? Afraid not.

We should finish top 4 as the squad stands now, barring a disastrous run of injuries throughout the season. If we get Pogba and KDB, or players of similar quality, top 2 with a real chance of winning it.
