Where do you think we'll finish this season and why?

We should finish top 4 as the squad stands now, barring a disastrous run of injuries throughout the season. If we get Pogba and KDB, or players of similar quality, top 2 with a real chance of winning it.

As it stands Chelsea only have 3 centre backs and 2 full backs

To win the league I think we need the following to happen.

Aguero and Silva stay injury free for most of the season.

Kompany and Toure return to form.

We sign at least one more top quality player, preferably in midfield.

If the above doesn't happen then I see us finishing 2nd again.

We certainly need to do better against clubs in the relegation zone. We dropped 9 points out of 18 against relegated clubs last year and that is piss poor!

I thought we'd win it but I'm worried about our central midfield unless we make another signing. Top 2 but 1st if we improve centre mid.

Top 4 for sure,but could be anything from 1st to forth depending on staying clear with injuries and sorting out the midfield as at times last season we were overrun there...

We were supposed to be closing the gap on Europe's elite. That certainly hasn't happened. We have barely closed the gap in our own league.

We still haven't addressed the problems of last year. We still need a world class cdm. We are crying out for a Lm who would consequently add balance to the team.

If aguero was to get any sort of injury which he inevitably will. We really shouldn't have to be relying and bloody Wilfried Bony getting us through the latter rounds of the champions league.

I hope I'm proven wrong but just cannot see it personally

I completely agree with you, lack of steel in midfield and shortage of good defenders will be our undoing.

You can not expect to get through a season by continually out scoring the opposition to compensate for leaking daft goals.

The gap was big last year. They pissed it so I would say they are the favourites. However the rags pissed it in 12/13 and we know how the next season panned out.

A lot will also depend on whether Pellegrini has learnt his lessons.
