Not got the quality that we should be signing.Think we wasted quite a few quid at the end of the transfer window

And unfortunately many of us numpties on here knew this before we signed him and stated so.

So who would you of signed who would happily be a squad player?

Id have signed someone with more quality to have pushed the excellent players we already have rather than signing a player who will sit on the bench virtually all season

Yes but we dont often play with wingers. Johno was the only one so he was a squad player, he didn't like it so moved on. There are no other players for the winger to push out there is just no position to play in most of the time

Irrelevant. We dont play with natural wingers/width. It doesnt suit the other players we have (even if it is frustrating at times). Mancini plays to have the full backs joining in. So this option will very rarely be utilised. In other words, pointless signing

Irrelevant? So Mancini likes to have a wide player just in case, needs it to be a happy squad player as will feature sparingly and made £6 million swapping his squad players and its irrelevant is it?
Is that because you were wrong about why we got him.
I agree he isnt that good but Mancini wanted a squad player winger he got a squad player winger, its far from fucking irrelevant

It is irrelevant based on the logic that it is a pointless signing if he is very rarely ever going to play which if the majority of the squad are fit will happen in my opinion.

its never good idea to sign a player who cant challenge for a place. people talk about squad player, but if the squad player is of much lower quality than the players starting. It doesnt do him or the other players any good. They will know he's no threat and become complacent and he will know he's not anywhere near their level and lose all confidence
