Where to visit? Budapest, Krakow or Prague

Just back from Budapest and went to Prague last year. I loved both I think Budapest shades Prague. Food and drink is cheap locals friendly and its all in districts the place at night is buzzing. The bar area is buzzing and not too far from the food area. You will be trying to get rid of your money. I bought a pair of Addidas for give or take 30 euro or under. So Sterling be cheaper again. The women oh my god stunners amazing looking gutted I could only look as with the girlfriend. There transport system is amazing avoid taxis they will rip you off. Buy 'the travel tickets at airport a bit expensive is the budacard don't get it just buy the travelled tickets. At night time the main sites of interest is lit up a boat trip at night is worth it on a few euro.

Prague is good too easier to get around compared to Budapest but I liked getting lost in a City and finding things for myself. You will love either.

I'm a bit biased towards Prague but Budapest is a great place too and I have spent a lot of time there when I was working out in central Europe

I wouldn't touch Bucharest with a barge pole as it's a shit hole

Krakow as a place isn't fantastic in my opinion but the salt mine is awesome to visit and of course the Auschwitz-Birkenau Death Camp is close

Me and my Czech fiancée still have our house out near Prague

Spent a great long weekend in Bucharest with Bucharest Blue when he was working there, granted, it's not a patch on Prague or Budapest, but it's years behind in investment terms, but is slowly catching up with lots of big foreign investment, far from a shit hole imho.

5 Lads going there,

Looking for drink on the nights, interesting sites, culturally and significantly during the day. Which is best and why? Pro's and con's of each? I have never been to each of them so I am putting it to the elders of bluemoon for advice!

If none of you are veterans of a booze cruise (and want to do it on a budget) you can always go to a hostel. I stayed at Mosquito in January and they have hostel staff take anybody who wants to go with them, on a pub/bar crawl and onto one of the nightclubs.

I stayed at Mosquito, and the staff were friendly and you also get breakfast and dinner (just tell them you will be there). Though the food is cheap (compared to the UK) out and about so there is no need to take up the option if you don't want to. Although they don't allow stag groups.

Here it is mate, not too far a walk from the Train station/ big shopping mall, market on your doorstep and the main square only a short walk away.
Cheers!!!

Thanks very much all contributors!

Been Budapest and Prague and you won't be disappointed with either. From what others have said you won't be disappointed with Krakow either. I say you and you mates agree to a piss up in the three of them for the next 3 years.
