Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

Watching at home sat about 50cm from the TV, aged 9. Only City fan in the household at the time (parents didn't really have a team).

Tried to console me and tell me to switch it off after the 2nd Gillingham goal. Told me not to get my hopes up when Horlock scored. Held my nerve the entire time.

Vegas on a stag do. So at that time… probably zzzzing it.
I did buy everyone a round of drinks in the pool when I woke up the next morning and was told though!

My sister's wedding having flown in from Asia. No smart phones, unable to get to a radio. Couldn't find out the score till I met a blue who'd been at the match and was a guest and very drunkenly recounted the details to me.

In the stadium with my 13 year old lad
At 2-0 started to leave, we got to the end of the row just as Kev scored, so we sat down, when Dickov scored I lost my lad under a mountain of fans but he survived. What a day, my second favourite after the Blackburn 4-1.

Wembley with my Dad and his mate who must’ve got through at least 3 packs of cigs.

It remains THE best football match I’ve ever attended and has a very special place in my heart.

I was 15. Forever grateful to my Dad for taking me.

Wembley with my 13 year old son..who had told me all week we would win on penalties
I told him no chance we will Muller them...at 2-0 down I said I wish you right about penalties..
Fantastic day and great journey back on the train packed out with blues celebrating all the way back to Manchester
