Where were you when we were sh*t?

The most insulting and annoying song I've ever heard. I bet half of those posh Gunners wouldn't have been with Arsenal 10 years ago if they had been as wank as us, they'd have probably been supporting United with half of London. Knobs.

I take it as a compliment as what they're really saying is that we're good

Cant remember my first game, wasnt intrested. We was playing someone shit and we was in the first or second division i think, all i was intrested in at the time where my Chips and gravy. Wasnt intrested in watching football til i was 13. First game i can remember from then was Norwich at home under Keegan when Willo Flood scored 1-1 finish

I was at the classic 1st round fa cup match between halifax and manchester city in the kippax what a cold and boring night that was.We won 3-0 craig russell scored 2 and the cult hero shaun goater scored just over 10000 were their 4 that brilliant match zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I remember the bad days as much as most of us do but just so glad we are no longer shit and I don't feel the need to explain where I was when we were shit.

Every club knows where we were when we were shit as most took pity on us and wanted us to do well but now they want us to fail as its the English way.

Loving the ride and don't want to get off

It get's asked every week.

I was on the Kippax. Left hand side near away fans in the 70's.
Right side Windy corner later on. Between the North Stand and the Kippax

I still have a few old KIPPAX STAND membership/ID cards from when they started which I picked up from main reception at Maine Road. I had to take proof of who I was if I remember right

I also have my AWAY travel club membership card from 89/90/91 I think.

Later years I was a season ticket/book holder in AA lower after the Kippax was knocked down.

I went home and some away in old division 3. Even to Bournemouth. Not York though.

I've had a season card for every year at our new ground.

Thought away fans would like to know.

We were all here when we were shit.

so shut the fuck up you twats.

Which particular period did yer have in mind? Since I first turned up in '55 we've had several periods of sewage seeping up onto the pitch, many a squad swept up with the mounted police horse droppings, defences that were flushed down the changing room toilets the minute the ref blew for full time, the whole stinking starting eleven mistaken for a sewage farm, and then the two or three decades where we WERE plain, straightforward, unadulterated, concentrated SHITE! Between Dave Ewing and Vincent Kompany we have had but two periods ( a handful of weeks) where the sun shone out of an azure sky!

made me smile that post.

watching some French lad Koscielny of Arsenal (a fooking defender ffs) smash a shot in the back of the net pushing us down to the depths of 7th in the league, was considering switching allegiances at that point but if you're not there during the difficult times you're not really there at all right?

Got to agree with that. You should have been at that classic between manchester city - bristol rovers a fantastic 0-0 draw in 1998

I was a 9 year old lad going to city v Swindon at main road (not saying York) even tho i did go. (home) with my dad, as my mates watched united at home on the telly. Most of my mates are united fans and have never been to old Trafford. I've been more times than them.

Did anyone go to the Jamaica friendly at Maine road. Think we drew 1-1. Remember getting a half city have Jamaica scarf.
Went to this match in brand new Peugeot came out side window bricked radio gone , god I miss Maine road

In my head we've never been shit, to many highlights

winning at Wolves after about 4 months without a win

going 30 something away games without a win

Cloughie Jnr goes down injured (Grimsby I think), physio comes on to nee-naw nee-naw, Cloughie Jnr gets up to a chorus of boos and abuse, the guy at Wolves running onto the pitch to have a go at Cloughie Jnr

Jamie Pollock own goal against QPR
