Which City game has annoyed you the most?

There was a moment when we went 2-0 down at Anfield, March/April 2014. They were all over us, Hart made a blinding save from a free header, then from the resulting corner, Skrtel got another free header and scored. Felt like we were throwing the league away to those fuckers.
That’s probably the angriest I’ve been watching us. Completely lost it, booted a hole into the side of the sofa.
I was in London, weekend of the London marathon fwiw (I’m Swedish), watching that game and I was completely sure we lost the title that day. Pub was full of dippers.

If my memory serves me right, we equalised 2-2 and had a brilliant opportunity to go 3-2 up but Merlin or Kun missed, only for Vinnie to shin it later for Cuntinho to get his usual goal against us.

Luckily Stevie G slipped later that season…

One that springs to mind,
When we could of won the league in record time v the rags, 2 nil up at half time and sterling had missed a few good chances too.
All for them to come back and beat us at home 2-3 .
Grrrrrrrr
The only game my mum went to since the 60’s. Could not believe it.

The United game at home.

We should have been 4 nil up at half time. Sterling missed 2 very good chances if I remember correctly.

Then the **** Pogba turned into prime Yaya and turned the game on its head.

We could have won the league against the rag cunts that day.

Still annoys me to this day!!!

Losing to Utd at home when 2-0 up at ht to win the league under Pep. One of the best performances ever for 45mins. To lose that game fucking pissed me off. Close behind was losing the Fa Cup to them when we could’ve done the double after the treble and beat them in back to back fa cup finals. Those two I’ll never forget

Brum away Dec 1997. MS scored on debut in last min, had CR one disallowed a few mins into injury time charging the 'keeper down for handball. The equalised well after the game should have finished, then had 2 or 3 more chances to eventually make it 2-1. Normally you got to 3 mins extra time with no injuries and the ref blew then, but we had no idea how long was being played and obviously we went down by a point with better GD.

About 30 mins before kick off an elderly woman slipped on the steps in front of us snapping her ankle. Suppose she had a worse day out.

Nothing comes close to losing to a bang average Chelsea team in the CL Final. If we had played at 50 per cent we would have beaten them. But we were pathetic. The tactical set-up played into their hands and some of our team just froze. Terrible. I have less problem with those matches where we lose to a slice of luck than the defeats which are just self inflicted.

That was extremely annoying.

Wigan cup final wasn’t great either.

And then losing to a team managed by Ten Hag in a fucking final!

Losing to Notts County back in the day for promotion and then in FA Cup wasn’t great either!

Or Shrewsbury

Or Halifax

Or Luton

Or Stockport

And Bury

And Crewe

And Port Vale

And Preston

And York

And fucking Wycombe twice!

So i was watching some highlights last night of us beating the rags and i realised the 6-3 at home really annoyed me as we took our foot of the gas and could easily gone for 10 in that game which i realise is first world problems but it got me thinking what game has annoyed you the most and for what reason, could be a win, loss or a draw.
Maybe somebody should write a song about that game :D

One that sticks out in my mind was when we played Spurs and zimmer framed Sylvinho was selected by Hughes to directly defend against a young high flying speed merchant in Aaron Lennon. Lennon was on fire at the time. The result was inevitable and the selection was suicide.

Sorry but I can't ever see a win being one that's annoyed me the most but if it HAD to be it would be the 10-1 v Huddersfield. The reason being that I was a season ticket holder back then but gave my ticket away on the day as they were short of drivers at work and I was on double time and a quarter for the day.

We hadn't been doing that well, they were on near the bottom so I envisaged a 0-0 or scruffy 1-0 win.

Best part was in the works canteen when the scores came on. They showed all the results on the TV screen and the lads were taking the piss, assuming it was a mistype and we'd lost 0-1. It was priceless when the announcer said "Manchester City 10, Hudderfield 1" Rag next to me said "fuck offffff...." and right on cue the announcer said, "I'll just repeat that....

Priceless piece of history but gutted that I missed it, especially as I could have been there. Only ever seen the 10 minute Sunday highlights on Granada.

Most annoying defeat for me was going out to Wigan in the cup AGAIN after they had beaten us in the FAC final and they were now playing in a lower division.
It was the only home match I missed all season as I was on a weekend lads piss up in Sheffield

The results came up on the TV final scores

City 10 (ten) Huddersfield 1

Ten in brackets so it was clear it wasn't a mistake. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry

Some rag slapper was singing it in my local later that night... but words changed to be a dig at City

Felt sick
I remember Brian Horton saying something along the lines of “oh well, it happens” in the post match interview. Don’t think I’ve ever been so incensed by a post match manager interview. I remember writing into King of the Kippax. It got published and even Dave told me to calm down in his editorial comment. City consumed my life in those days.

Blackburn away 0-2 FA Cup QF 2007. A glimmer of light in a terrible season and an awful side. It was a pathetic effort by the players given what was at stake. To cap it off, City ‘Fans’ were fighting with each other.
Starting supporting City in the mid 90s Asa 9 year old, but that 06/07 season is the most disillusioned I've ever felt as a City fan. Going to every home game felt like a chore.

Every single game Stuart Bellend Pearce was in charge for ,can`t single one out ,grinds my gears when I hear the cnut on Talkshite .
06/07 season was an absolute slog. Had to regrettably give my season ticket up in 2013 due to work commitments, but so many did it near me in 2007. That season was just plain an lifeless. The mid to late 90s when i first became a fan were bad, but for whatever reason 06/07 was the worst for me. I actually hated going.

The Champions league game v Spurs
What a utter bastard way for a game to end
If we had a poll am sure this game would get most votes. Although the Bolton home game still hurts
And the Derby game where we fell asleep after 85 mins and the Rags won after being totally outplayed.
