Not sure annoyed is the right word, but I was distraught after the Middlesborough game when Lakey broke down, absolutely distraught.
Yep, the only time I can ever remember a referee being sent to the screen and not overturning his decisionSimple ! Spurs QF when Uefa used VAR to screw us over.
That prick David Bentley dancing around like he'd been instrumental in their season was the fucking icing on that one. That big lanky fella’s header against us to stop us getting champions league - still
You fell out with City? Fuck off you lightweight bellend.2021 Champions League final
Not only would it have been our first CL win, with Agüero getting a winners’ medal… but it would have also been a treble as we’d won the PL and EFL Cup.
We finished 19 points ahead of Chelsea in the league and I didn’t even rate their team at all. They were a fairly average football team.
The team selection, pretty much every player completely bottled it, we created next to nothing in 90 minutes, Agüero didn’t get proper minutes when we needed a goal… I fell out with City for a while after that, only actually felt better about it when we came back against Villa on the final day of the following season.
HutchisonThe 1981 FA Cup final. Tommy Hutchinson own goal.
More recently the 2021 CL final, and the Spuds travesty CL 2019, but that was a VAR decision against us, as is generally the way...
And most weeks something annoys me - usually reffing decisions against us, or the 500k sideways passes we make!!
I feel bad now,no one should have to go through that...Every single game Stuart Bellend Pearce was in charge for ,can`t single one out ,grinds my gears when I hear the cnut on Talkshite .
Ouch . I'd forgotten that ...Brentford Away 14/01/25
The only game at the Etihad I’ve left early -I was absolutely fuming feeling much the same as you and watched the last 15 minutes or so in now defunct “Derby “ PubWest Ham at home in the cup quarter final. 2006.
Was absolutely convinced it was our year after Micah's last minute equaliser at Villa Park, and a lot of the big teams had been knocked out so the draw had opened up.
Woeful performance and comfortably beaten by a bang average side, summed up by Sun Jihai getting himself sent off.
Left the ground thinking we'd never win anything ever again.
Ref Martin Atkinson played a huge part in turning that game around -as his blatant cheating paid off in the 2nd half as we eased off a bit whereas we were far too good in the first half for it to make a difference and should have been at least 4-0 up.The United game at home.
We should have been 4 nil up at half time. Sterling missed 2 very good chances if I remember correctly.
Then the **** Pogba turned into prime Yaya and turned the game on its head.
We could have won the league against the rag cunts that day.
Still annoys me to this day!!!
Our mate -a Season Ticket holder who’d moved to Cambridge and missed some midweek games packed it in after c30 years cos he only saw us score one goal that whole season06/07 season was an absolute slog. Had to regrettably give my season ticket up in 2013 due to work commitments, but so many did it near me in 2007. That season was just plain an lifeless. The mid to late 90s when i first became a fan were bad, but for whatever reason 06/07 was the worst for me. I actually hated going.
