Which City game has annoyed you the most?

Spurs reply 81
Chelsea European cup final
One I was an angry 19 year old and walked alone into a Luton pub with my scarf on after the game.
The other I got rid of a lot of crockery that was overcrowding the kitchen cupboards but somehow my Sony Oled survived the whole thing.

2021 Champions League final

Not only would it have been our first CL win, with Agüero getting a winners’ medal… but it would have also been a treble as we’d won the PL and EFL Cup.

We finished 19 points ahead of Chelsea in the league and I didn’t even rate their team at all. They were a fairly average football team.

The team selection, pretty much every player completely bottled it, we created next to nothing in 90 minutes, Agüero didn’t get proper minutes when we needed a goal… I fell out with City for a while after that, only actually felt better about it when we came back against Villa on the final day of the following season.
You fell out with City? Fuck off you lightweight bellend.

The 1981 FA Cup final. Tommy Hutchinson own goal.

More recently the 2021 CL final, and the Spuds travesty CL 2019, but that was a VAR decision against us, as is generally the way...

And most weeks something annoys me - usually reffing decisions against us, or the 500k sideways passes we make!!
Hutchison

West Ham at home in the cup quarter final. 2006.

Was absolutely convinced it was our year after Micah's last minute equaliser at Villa Park, and a lot of the big teams had been knocked out so the draw had opened up.

Woeful performance and comfortably beaten by a bang average side, summed up by Sun Jihai getting himself sent off.

Left the ground thinking we'd never win anything ever again.
The only game at the Etihad I’ve left early -I was absolutely fuming feeling much the same as you and watched the last 15 minutes or so in now defunct “Derby “ Pub

The United game at home.

We should have been 4 nil up at half time. Sterling missed 2 very good chances if I remember correctly.

Then the **** Pogba turned into prime Yaya and turned the game on its head.

We could have won the league against the rag cunts that day.

Still annoys me to this day!!!
Ref Martin Atkinson played a huge part in turning that game around -as his blatant cheating paid off in the 2nd half as we eased off a bit whereas we were far too good in the first half for it to make a difference and should have been at least 4-0 up.

06/07 season was an absolute slog. Had to regrettably give my season ticket up in 2013 due to work commitments, but so many did it near me in 2007. That season was just plain an lifeless. The mid to late 90s when i first became a fan were bad, but for whatever reason 06/07 was the worst for me. I actually hated going.
Our mate -a Season Ticket holder who’d moved to Cambridge and missed some midweek games packed it in after c30 years cos he only saw us score one goal that whole season

Spurs at home when fat Hooper told Erling to play on then pulled it back after The Viking had put Jack in with a free run on goal.
That act of corruption just won't seem to leave me

Losing 4-3 at Coventry in 2001. We equalised 3 times in that game but still lost in the last minute. It was the only time when I thought I couldn't take anymore.

At Sunderland about 20 years ago when the fuckwit stewards kept telling us to sit down, and threatening us with ejection when we mentioned home fans were being allowed to stand in the next block.

Probably been said earlier but the one that annoyed me the most was the Cup Final vs Wigan.

The players fucking downed tools that day. They ensured Mancini was toast.

Still can’t get my head around what they did that day. Surely there was a better way to have Mancini not be the manager the following season than losing a cup final ….

So so annoying
